Fashion & Accessories - January 2007

I bought this dress last week and I love it!!! The only thing is - it's strapless and I don't like wearing strapless tops/dresses, etc...
Why did I buy it? Because it was $5 steal at a thrift shop!!! :D
I want something to go over it....
So. I'm thinking a sweater of some sort...short...with buttons.??

Anyone have any advice? I'll attach some pics so you can see what it looks like.
It's knee length...and 100% polyester.

Also...SHOES!! What would look the best?

If you happen to get ideas online - can you send me the link so I can see what shoes/sweater you are talking about?

I am 23 and I thinks its high time that I get this skill down. I never really was into fashion or dressing up until the past year or so, so unlike most girls I never learned how to do the heel thing. I do own heels but they're always thicker or wedge heels because I always feel like I'm going to fall over in stilettos. What should I do to get myself accustomed to walking in them?

I just read that "the average North American woman owns more than thirty pairs". That statistic sounds totally ridiculous and made up! Sure many women probably own way more, but did they really take a poll of everyone's closet? My number of high heels is zero.
