I just read that "the average North American woman owns more than thirty pairs". That statistic sounds totally ridiculous and made up! Sure many women probably own way more, but did they really take a poll of everyone's closet? My number of high heels is zero.

I have over 50 pairs of high heels and about 20 pairs of boots. When we build our house my husband designed a HUGE walk in closet with enough room for all my shoes. It's kind of funny to me now because now I work from my home office and wear slippers to work!!

1 but they dont really count...they are just a pair of high shoes, and you have to take into account that the statistic is an average meaning they take in all of the celebrities and wealthy people who really do own a wopping amount of high heels.

Wow that one girl does me out. I am not even close to her, but maybe being a guy will get me bonus points. I own over 80. I didn't count them all, but it is over 80 in the two top rooms here. I don't wear them all at all. I have forgotten about some. I probably have about 10 favorites, and they are all 3.5" heel or higher. I have over 400 pairs of hose though. I wear it all day long, and heels as long as I can. I love them!!!

my total of high heel shoes (including sandals) is 6 and i have 2 pairs of high heel boots. i'd say that's closer to zero than it is to 30 lol. I doubt that's an accurate average.

I think I have a grand total of around 20 pairs, including sneakers and slippers. High heels--I think I have one pair over two inches, and about three right around that.

Of the 13 people who responded before me you had roughly 373 pairs of heels and divide that you get like 28.6923 round up to 30..

270+! Collecting and wearing heels is my passion. I probably wear 45 to 65 on a regular basis. I absolutely love heels!!
