okay, so my friend's sweet 16 is being held this friday & she is going all out & it's COMPLETELY formal, and well, i never dress up. lol well actually, i dress up all the time, but not formally. if that makes any sense at all.

so i need some help. i bought this nice black shirt (long-sleeve, button-down) and i have black dress shoes. i also have black hair, & i feel that black pants would be black overkill, with only a colorful tie to offset the blackness. soooo...

does anyone have any recommendations for pants? because i am at a real loss. however, i HATE wearing lighter pants with a black shirt. & i don't mean lighter jeans...i do that all the time. what i mean is like khakis and whatnot.

well, if anyone has any ideas, that would be marvelous! i don't want to let her down because she's like my bestfriend. so yeahhh.

I like clothes I find in stores like Express, but sizes only go up to 12. I usually wear a size 14-16.

My boyfriend and I were talking last night about Christmas. I told him exactly what I wanted. He told me his ring size and everything and he said he likes engraved (on the top where it is visible) rings. He's a really soft spoken guy who is pretty much satified with anything, so it doesn't have to necessarily be something macho or anything. Just something simple! I need help so bad. I have looked virtually everywhere.

I'm thinking about getting my lip pierced. I always wanted to do it 'cause I think it's really bad a s s. I currently have had my tongue pierced for 6 years, but that won't really leave a hole and nobody can tell unless I open my mouth. I'm afraid that a lip piercing will ruin my pretty face, and I think it would look especially awkward if I decide to dress up nice. It probably will leave a hole permanently in my face too when I eventually decide to take it out just like I did with my belly button piercing. But it soooo seems to fit my personality and I really want one. What to do? Opinion?

With those sucky "corsets" from places like Hot Topic, the boning always indents or bends unattractively where my natural waist is because I'm not perfectly skinny (I have a 31" waist.) I'm interested in investing in a real corset that lasts me longer than a few wears and molds to my body rather than gets distorted. I made an inquiry about the boning in Heavy Red's waist cinchers since they didn't specify, and they said they use white steel bone, which is heavier and more rigid than any plastic. Would this end up doing the same after time or would it work as well as other professional places who specialize in corsets?
