Trust me you can not convince her easy! You can try the Less is more and you only want to Bering out your natural beauty? Never use that LIne All of my frends do it. That will never work. Moms are good and can twist every thing you say in there favor so wording is every thing!!

Good Luck!

Thats a tough one. It really depends on how old you are - i don't think that you really should be wearing make-up if your younger than 13 (at least not on an everyday basis).
But the most important thing is not not mention that the reason u want to wear it because "all of your friends are doing it". Maybe ask for a little kit for Christmas.
Tell your mom that you would really appreciated it if she could help you pick out a few natural looking eyeshadows to wear on special occasions.
Then for the next holiday (your birthday etc.) ask for mascara. - make sure you don't use it everyday.
Starting wearing make up to special occasions- prove to your mom that you can make it look natural and not like dark purple shadow up to your eyebrows.
Soon she will realize that you are not a little kid and she wont mind (let alone notice) if you start wearing make-up to school everyday.
Just remember don't over do it. :D

I took my daughter to the mall and had them show her how to apply make up in a natural way... the right colors, the right application etc. I didnt want her looking like a tramp by learning how to apply make up in the girls bathroom at school. The other reason I did this was so she wouldnt use other girls eye make up and risk an infection. For a long time if I didnt approve of the make up she wasnt permitted to wear it, IE: no black eye liner or the racoon look, no red lipstick etc. She is 17 now and when she does wear her make up it is always very conservative. good luck. but if mom says NO.. dont keep pushing. try to find a comprimise.

Well it all depends on how old you are. If you are the age of like 14 then you should wear like the powder and some lite lip stick. You dont want to really start wearing make up at a young age cause it takes away the natural beauty that you already have. What does your mom say when you ask her to wear the make up?

If you're over 15 then you need to sit your mom down and talk to her about it. Explain what you have here. And realise that make up is very expensive. Maybe your mom can't afford it very well even for herself, no less you, too. Unfortunately, as long as you are under 18 and/or you live under your parents' roof you have to do as they say.

Once you're 18 and SELF-sufficient you will be able to make your own choices and will have to live with the consequences of them even more so than you do while living with your parents.

How old are you anyway? Actually your mom is indirectly doing you good because foundation and powdered makeup choke up your skin pores and cause dirt to be trapped within the pores. If you don't go through the proper cleansing process (cleansing, toning and moisturizing) everyday, you'd get horrible complexion in due course.

Show her some clippings from magazines of how you would like to wear the makeup. There are some very fresh and natural looks you can have fun with. Ask if you can just start with one item, like lip gloss, or mascara.

Cute question!
Compromise...ask can u wear at least 2 items..like lipglosses & maybe eyeshadow or mascara?
Make-up is fun & "feminine"! It's a zillion dollar industry! So i m sure some of these "nay-sayers" have a few tubes of goo at home too..they just don't know how to apply it!
If your friends r wearing makeup u probably hang with the popular girls & u just want to keep up with them. Tell her how lucky u r to have pretty friends....

although i don't believe in wearing makeup 24/7, i believe that every girl should have at least one thing of eyeshadow. my first question to you is how old are you? if you are under 15, i don't think you need it and i don't blame your mother for not letting you. before you turn that age, you need to acquire a sense of who you are for the time being (because it will change in time). you need to not think that you need makeup to look pretty but know that you don't need it to. when you have acquired that sense, your mother will know and you will know and only then can you wear make up.
don't worry about your friends wearing it. that means that their mothers wear too much of it and don't have a sense of themselves and because they don't, their daughters won't. your mother has a sense of herself and because she cares about you, she wants you to acquire one by not letting you wear makeup. you may not understand this all now, but you will in due time.

It really depends how old you are. But do NOT use the "all my friends do it" excuse with your mom, trust me it will never work. I didn't start wearing make-up until 9th grade and even then my mom didn't like it. I did wear to like dances and stuff in younger grades, but not everyday.
