I am trying to make my own Halloween costume this year based after different eras (1920s, 60s, etc.). I have a very pretty polka dot skirt that I think might work, but I'm not sure which era polka dots were popular in. Can anyone offer any advice or suggestions? Thanks

I had recently bought an Aeropostale shirt with the numbers "87" on it, stating that Aeropostale was founded in 1987.
