It means that you have alot of friends people invite you to alot of parties. you have been asked out by alot of ppl. everybody knows you your hot. you have a little group and you go every where together.every time you go in the hall ppl say hi to you and you don't even know them.thats a little out of a long list.

it means well known. many people think they are cool by this. People put u in categories such as the biggest; slut, prep, pretty boy, goth, nerd, geek, Cheerleader,and etc. u shouldn't care about popularity because life is not a popularity contest. To tell u the truth, when u get older, it wont really matter how popular u were in school. Just have great friends and live a life full of fun and happiness...as long as u are happy, u can b popular in you own way

The meaning of popular is having alot of people who like or admire you. But then again you could be popular by just having cloce friends and family.

there is no real meaning of popular. what the populars are, are people who arnt afraide to spaek out, and have tons of freinds. in most cases, the populars are mean, and cliquie. not always though, just try tospeak out as they do, and youll see life how they do. a big party. im a popular, its fun, dont be shy!!

For me its being known by the rest of population (school, work, society) for GOOD and positive reason, eg. being friendly, pretty, helpful, reliable, etc. It is where majority of people like you and also make u as an 'idol' in that community.
thats what popular means to me :)

what a good question..........actually popular means something accepted, adopted and appriciated by majority.
but.but.these days whoever advertise his service, product thoughts etc. etc. is called popular.
this answer needs pages after pages if I give you examples.
if I had money and approach I might be popular like Opera.

the meaning of popular, sounds like "population" which means alot of people, well it's kind of like "alot" of people wanting to be around you because of maybe your personality, or the way you are to others.
