Ebay you have to pay charges for listing, selling and if you use Paypal they take out a charge too. Craigslist is good, but I listed a gown on it twice I think and never got any replies...I don't think many people use it. A consignment shop is good, they split the cost with you and the item that you give to them is usually sold for about half the price for what you bought it at. If you're taking the clothes to one that has certain stipulations like "these clothes are not perfect we can't sell them", it can be a pain. So make sure they're cleaned and don't have any holes in them if you go to one.

I don't know anything about craigslist, except I think it is free?. A consignment store will charge around 20% of sale price, but only if an item sells. Ebay charges you to list an auction and thats before an item sells. Then if it sells you have to pay a further fee. Also chances are it won't sell. Sell through rates on clothing on ebay are only 20%. So you wind up paying to list your item over & over to get even one measly bid, and maybe you won';t get one. So you have then lost all that money you spent listing the item. I would suggest you go with a consignment store.
