About a month ago my doctor had advised me to start wearing an over-the-counter support pantyhose on a daily basis for some concern he had about my legs/veins.Last week during my re-check he went ahead and wrote a prescription for them.A moderate compression support pantyhose. These are not your average store bought hose.I was talking to a close friend ,she and I see the same doctor. He tried to put her on some meds she could take if she "felt" she needed them. He tried to put me on some meds when my cholesterol hit 195,they could've damaged my liver.Maybe he is jumping the gun.I can see the benefits of wearing support hose. But if I really dont need them daily or at all.I've been in dance for 12 years and have worn tights many times,it didn't really bother me,thats just part of the art.But I feel a compression pantyhose is different. If I have to wear them I have to wear them but maybe I should get a doctors second opinion.Any input???
