Women have an extra layer of fat around their knees that keep them warmer. If it gets to cold, they wear pantyhose, tights or high boots with the skirts.

Yes, our legs do get cold. Even stockings don't keep them warm, even though they are thicker than hose. As to why women wear short skirts, it's the same reason we wear anything else. We want to look good and feel good about ourselves. Most women that wear shorter skirts in the winter will be indoors for most of the day, so the cold isn't a big factor to think about when they get dressed in the morning. They are dressing for the indoor climate at their workplace.

Whereas I might wear a short skirt in winter, I would make sure that I wore adequate warm clothing for going out of doors. A long woolen winter coat is essential. I also have a pair of high-heel boots which are two sizes too large, but I have lined them with sheepskin so that I am both fashionable and warm!

Some girls will wear anything, anytime, and anywhere. If you see a girl with an extra short skirt on in the winter (with no tights or leggings), she thinks she looks good, but inside she is shivering and getting frost bit! Yeah, it is cold...but sometimes you must sacrifice for fashion....but most smart people would wear leggings or something underneath the skirt to keep a little warmer!

i dont wear leggings or tights cos im not obsessed with fashion..i just wear what i want when i want no matter what season it is..
