If we happen to notice his watch, he was probably doing something to get us to look at it. We don't notice a man's watch, we notice his clothing, hygiene, and style. It wouldn't matter if you had a $20,000 watch on your arm if you were dressed like a slob. And it wouldn't matter if you had a $20 watch and were dressed nice. The watch does not make the man.
OK, now to answer your question about which style I prefer. If I was to buy my husband a Rolex because by some odd chance we had the money to piss away, then I would probably buy him a Presidential. Why spend the money for a name if you were just going to end up with a plain watch that looks like every other men's watch out there?

If it is a $5 one from a shifty-eyed street vendor does that make a difference?
I am not worrying about a silly thing like that. I'd tell them my real wrist watch is Big Ben but it is hard to drag that thing around all day so I leave it in London and if I want to know the time I just check it out on the Big Ben cam.

no girl would really look at your watch...unless you brought to her attention that you were wearing a Rolex....and it really wouldnt matter if it was fake!! but i personally dont care what style...i think they all look the same!

Who cares??? We aren't looking at what kind of watch you are wearing...maybe we aren't even paying attention to the fact that you are even wearing a watch. We pay more attention to your clothes, your hair, your eyes and your smile....if we like all that THEN we just MIGHT realize you are wearing an expensive watch. Well, some girls would....I wouldn't.

I'm thinking that most women wouldn't care what kind of watch a man was wearing, as long as it wasn't digital. (Digital seems kind of juvenile.)
