I am not a artist by any means. Grandma Moses could draw better than me. But I have the time and I am willing to learn. I am older (stop with the jokes). Any suggestion for the beginner? Supplies, books-what ever. And what to draw?

A former colleague at my place of employment is a young, aspiring artist. I think she's talented (of course, she's beautiful in my opinion, that doesn't hurt)--I advised her upon graduation to go to New York and try to get into an art school. I think she's now in an art school in the greater Grand Rapids area of Michigan. What kind of advice would be helpful to her? Is it rough being an artist in such a left-brained world? How can she make a living at it? I really don't know--I went to a big State college, an Agriculture School, moreover--art was never really taken seriously there I don't think--it was more like a place for business and veterinary degrees.

Any color besides black (not allowed), grey (not really my color), or white (too boring). I'm looking for a light color that matches my creamish-white canopy bed with a white comforter. I already had burgandy curtains, so I'm going to have to replace those, too, or somehow make it match with my canopy bed. Oh yeah, and My dad offered to air-brush Tinkerbell on the wall, so I was thinking something not greenish. Sorry I don't have a picture of the room or what will be in it. We didn't move in to our new house yet, so I can't really take a picture of how it'll look.

I need to know what colors are mixed together in order to form the color pink. The end result should resemble "baby pink"...not bright like the Pink Panther. Any help is appreciated!!! Thanks in advance to all that answer.

Actually I need co-ordination of some sound financer, who can participate according to rules and regulation of bussiness. In this connection, the person who want to start a new bussiness and earn a reasonable monthly and annual income after becoming a business partner, he will certainly enjoy this faculty of business.
there are morethan fifty miracle paintings, that have some extra-ordinary effects and posses some thing nevelty, and have worth to present for exhibition allover the world or at least in the biggist cities of the world. The one painting has its worth almost more than USD $25000, because of nevelty and supernatural effects,
in this conext, the subject needs a detail conversation to launch the project so therefore, kindly only serious and interested people reply me promptly, It is a new senario of Art and entertainment, and the investors and the financer will not disappoint by any way or by any reason, if someone realize to promote such bussiness,I am waiting for him.

what to paint on her this year. Last years theme was "support our troops" so we painted her camo and dressed my son in camo. The year before we painted a huge American flag on her, the theme was "All American". This year there is no theme, so we need anything patriotic or 4th of July-ish. Any great ideas?

I know the painters tried to minimize flaws. But that does not explain why the subjects' eyes looked glazed or puffy, or why different paintings of the same subject often looked markedly different. For example, if you look at all the paintings of Marie Antoinette, you will see that most of them look like paintings of completely different people.

How is it that the painters could accurately capture the appearance of fabrics, furniture, buildings, etc., yet had so much trouble accurately recreating faces?

The painting on the head is able to be seen under a magnifing device. It was painted with one brush hair, 1/10 the size of a average human hair. And if you know at what institute it is on display... -painter Unknown

Does anyone remember those 80's female portraits. The ones were all the women had white faces and big red glossy lips. What was the artist name? I'm having such a hard time tracking down the artist.
