I am 110% bored and i feel like drawing a cartoony type thing/celeb/person e.g well known TV character thx

It is really difficult to find art shops around the place where I live, so I can't get fixative. I use soft pencil, colour pencils and oil pastels.
Is there any other substitute for fixative so that my drawings won't smudge ?
I know hairspray is not a good idea, how about varnish ? =|

I've been playing around with oil pastels lately, and I have a question. When I layer colors, i get bits of the last color on my pastel. What's the best way to remove this?

I am entering a wildlife art contest and just wondering what your opinions are. If I found a picture of an animal I want to draw, do you think it is ok to copy that photo exactly, as in make my own rendering of it in pencil? I do not want to copy a photographer's work without permission. But is it different when you're drawing a picture exact from a photo?

I've been asked to illustrate a front cover and then 12 inside pages. The cover is the main artwork, then the pages are like one main icon plus some bits from the cover. The whole thing needs to be designed as well as illustrated so I need to put backgrounds and fonts etc into it.

I am working on a painting on a wall, and I notice there is something new if I look at the painting from another angle. I was wondering if there are some proper methods to identify or to work on this form of art?
