I am a writing professor at Harvard and I have written many great books and I'll tell you that you always use your real name or you might not get credit for your work. Trust me and good luck!

Try something less hard to remember and easier to spell, and that can be for a man or a woman. Jamie, Courtney, Ashley, Lee, are good first names. Use familiar last names. Lately the trend is to use a mix of initials with a last name. Like JK Rowling for example.
Fara Daye kinds of reminds me of Mara Jade the wife of Luke Skywalker.
Good luck with your book!

Fara Daye sound pretty, but, let me explain my mind set.
Michael Faraday
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Farad
Dealt with capacitors in electronics. Capacitors are measured in Farads. So, the name you use, to me, relates to Electronics, as I have studied this.
It a good name and it sound pretty. It would be good. But, also, "Brainstorm" this. What is the book about? Maybe you can think of a name that will relate to your style of writing?
Good Luck.
