Drawing & Illustration

In adobe I am trying to turn my grey scanned image lines black. I turn threshold all the way up, but when I hit "ok", it turns back to grey. What do I need to do? Ultimitly I want the lines on a seperate layer.

I can draw really well, (genetics), but i don't like to draw a lot, it takes a lot of energy and by my mothers standards I just barely able to be called an Intermidiate drawer. And when I do draw, I draw morbid things or things that have to do with wicca because that is how I think, and what I feel lately, What do I do?

If you think about it, humans spend more time looking at themselves and each other than they spend looking at anything else. So why is it so difficult for most of us (not trained in art) to reproduce the images accurately??

I've tried to copy the fonts in Microsoft Word. I want my handwriting to be exactly like English111 Vivace BT. If I can't write like that, I want to write like the font TypeUpright, but at the very least it has to be like Monotype Corsiva or else...well anyways, English111 Vivace BT's my goal for hanwriting. How do I learn to draw every one of their letters exactly like the fon'ts? Any tips?
