How would you describe nothing?
How would you describe everything?

What is the Philosophy behind political correctness? Is it trying to please everyone? If so what about the phrase "Try to please everyone and you will please no one."

If it is about that then it has already failed due to the fact that I personally, and I am not the only one, find it offensive.

So what is the Philosophy behind PC, and is it doing it's job?

Serious ansers only.

Thanks.

others?
Why do we need these things?
Is it somehow to find stability and security in a world which is dynamic, impermanent, a world where we are unable to find truth?
We will murder great numbers of people to keep some kind of order in our society, to make sure that we keep people obeying our picture of reality, we will kill for our beliefs in god or gods etc.
For what?
Religions and political ideologies are all the same.
Do we really need to be so extreme in order to have order, and where does one draw the line between keeping order and just being a victim fear, insecurities, greed, lost in madness hungry for power, etc.? what is power but a need to control things, to have security in a world where we have little or no control, nothing concrete to attach ourselves with. ??
Could it be that other ideologies threaten our identity, our identity being a creation of our culture, traditions and ideologies. So our very being is threaten.

The concept of the technological singularity is sort of based on this. The thought is there will be a point where technological progress is so rapid that we humans cannot keep up and something else steers the progress of Earth. Do you think that that is possible?
