A man once told a story of the future & space
An incredible story of an incredible place
Called Vesper, a world where people fight
For freedom from a superior might

A warrior called Aden once fell in love
With a girl named Jacky from the stars above.
Their lives were adventure, romance & pain
They gave birth to a star-child, a new form of man

Kelly once fell through time & space
& was found by Karza, a man with a metal face
He took her & raped her & with the use of his powers
She gave birth to twins, born in hours
Away from Karza, away she ran
With children in arm to the forgotten land
Once safely away there she met
Ikera, by name with the body of ant
He gave her powers quite unknown, &
Which enabled her to stand up & throw the stone
That conquered Karza, setting free
The land for all eternity
Once the armor was down, so was told
That the man inside had been controlled
By the embodiment of evil, hatred & fear
They parted as lovers after the tears

With glowing beauty she was defined,

Sapphire eyes seduced my mind.

Golden hair, cascading curls,

Pristine skin, the color of pearls.

Her melodic voice, her siren’s call,

Like a magic spell she did enthrall,

Enchanting grace, Perfection’s queen,

Ruler of hearts there in between.

My thoughts revolve around her face,

I long for her in my embrace,

To hold her close within my arms,

Fall victim to her loving charms.

Come what may, I’ll face the task

To have a chance is all I ask.

I only want to make her see,

Joy for her, can come from me.

sometimes when people get bored they ask a question that dosent make sense or isnt exactly a question and sometimes people ask a question about something that someone else might not like for example: i asked how much it would cost to get a tatoo for my boyfried and i got answers like tatoos are dumb, i didnt ask for an opinion on tatoos i asked for a estimate price... so my question is, if you know your answer isnt what the person is asking, why post it? and if the question dosent make sense to you, why waste time answering it when your just gonna be telling them its a stupid question in your answer?

That there is poetry is the only
evidence that man truly exists

The Latin American poet quoted above was wise beyond his years. He had the luxury of participating in a culture that still prized the power of the written word as incantation. A machine can be programmed to make everything a man can make - airplanes, pictures, prose, music - but only one craft still requires exclusively the active participation of a human: poetry. Only a human can create and judge great poetry. Yet no poet currently living can make a living from his labor. This is because modern poetry has been written as prose and the public can not name a poet now living. The public does not buy poetry books. They do not expect to be pleased when they see a book of modern poetry in the shops. And they are right.

The poetry of the Greatest Living Poets Project sets out with a new direction. We never publish a poem unless it contains at least one line that will live forever in the language. greatestlivingpoets.com
