How is militarism and World War One connected? How is world war one a result of Militarism. I know that Militarism meant that countries kept increasing their military power, to outdo other countries,but in the end how did this cause World War One?

Also does Militarism have something to do with the Arms Race???

Hey guys I'm reading and translating alot to write a good essay for this Title:

It is often said that The prince represents a guidebook for those who wish to acquire and maintain political power.

(What practical problems do you think arise in the way Machiavelli suggests that power in aquired and maintained, and the way a ruler should deal with furtune).
