Was it a closely held secret until the end of WW2? Or did a lot of people infer that something like that existed from the type of engagements that took place?

I read and saw the movie of "Alive" about the soccer team whose plane crashed in the Andes Mountains. Planes could never find them and they had to walk out after staying there 3 or 4 months I think.

They survived by eating the dead, but I was hoping to learn from the movie & the book what is the best way to survive if you're stuck in mountains.

There were no trees, so they couldn't start a fire. No food except for the dead (no plant life at all!)

Their radio was busted so they couldn't radio for help.

Does anyone know the proper way to survive in mountains?

I never thought about that before because I always liked history class. I was having a discussion with someone who said they hate history. She thinks it's a waste of time to study things that already happened. Now that I think about it, she has a point. I know people say that history tends to repeat itself but in what way does it really benefit you. What kind of job are you going to get today as a history major, besides being a teacher of course.

This is for a history debate. I need to know a bunch of stuff why jefferson was better. I also need to know why jefferson was a racist. I need to have dirt (bad stuff) about or things that adams did. I need to have back up facts on bad stuff about jefferson. And I need facts about jefferson being a hypocrit.
