Many historians say that the Battle of Midway was the turning point of WWII for Japan. After that, they could never hope to win. I say that even if they had won the battle, they would still have lost due to American industrial capacity. What do you think?

There are gupurams in all temples where kalasa is installed. It is elevated above the temple and is viewable from a certain distance. As it is high when the sunlight touches it produces shadow as any other material. But the gopuram in Thanjavur Temple does not have shadow when the sun touches it despite its height. How is this possible?

My daddy was named Griffin. The boys on the Merchant ships in the U.S.Merchant Marine in World War II named him roy
because of the way he sang an old roy acuff song

He and several shipmates went on a 17 month round the world journey in World War II.

The captain wrote the story up in installments in True magazine.

He called the story "Around The World The Hard Way."

Anyone who knew daddy or was on that trip please
contact me.

i don't remember the captain's name or the shi['s name.

daddy's home port was new orleans.
