Has there ever been a case where a successful revolution lead to a long-term stable democratic state or would it be true to say that all revolutions simply replace an existing political system wth something as bad or worse ?

i was reading an article about the arabic language which has many similar words of the english language and In common with other European languages, many English words are derived from Arabic, often through other European languages, especially Spanish and Italian, among them every-day vocabulary like "sugar" (sukkar), "cotton" (quṭn) or "magazine" (maḫāzin). More recognizable are words like "algebra", "alcohol" and "zenith" (see list of English words of Arabic origin).
