In the contemporary world, many would answer this question with a resounding no, and I would have to agree with them. There is no reason why a girl of fifteen or sixteen should marry, given that there is so much more that she can do than settle down so early.

However, in a historical context, I suppose that this would have been a necessity - particularly prior to the Industrial Revolution. Lifespans were considerably shorter in those times, and girls would have had to settle down, marry, and have children at that age so as to ensure that they did not die before they could produce offspring. Still, most girls in those times were brought up to be emotionally mature by the time they reached fifteen or sixteen, which is why the idea of marriage at such a young age is only applicable when set up against that historical context.

Not necessarily a girl should get married at age of 15 or 16. It purely depends on the biological development and physical and mental status of the girl and their mindset. If a girl at the age of 15 or 16 is matured enough both mentally and physically then there is no harm in getting married. Eventullay every girl and parents of the girls are aiming for the marriage on attaining mental and physical maturity. If a girl attains it at an early age..I dont think getting married at 15 or 16 is forbidden. ( exceptional cases are always there )

No. At that age a person doesn' t know him or herself well enough to be able to understand what a (hopefully) lifelong commitment to a relationship means.

At 15 or 16, you're still developing yourself as a person and need to grow more before becoming one-half of a couple.

There are so many grown-up behaviors and activities that young people seem in such a rush to experience today. What is the big hurry? If you do it all before you're 21, what have you to look forward to? The teenage years are a time of experimentation in terms of who you are; they are a time of growth. That growth could be stunted by marriage.

No! Girl at this age shouldn't ever thing of that. First is because at this age not many are ready mature yet. Second thing ask yourself are u ready for this commitment.? Third do u knew tat even u can u need four Witness at the ROM because under 21 yrs old. So why not save the trouble and wait till 21 yrs old cos by then just need two Witness. Well at this age should study hard n enjoy teenager yrs.

Honestly i think anybody who wants to get married should. Everybody should be able to get married if they truely really want to. Age isnt an issue because everybody who is 15 or 16 dont all think the same so why let that alone be the reason why they couldnt get married.

Not usually! If they are pregnant, doesn't hurt to give the child a family to grow up in! I know... a real, dynamic idea for 2006 but kids still need a family! Otherwise, no... don't get married... you have the rest of your life to do so. The first marriage, especially at that young age... is usually not too successful. Lots of times for life!

undoubtedly she could, but they hardly will face some consequences after getting married. e.g bearing the responsibilities, taking care after children if they have, and there is a serious problem which is getting pregnant in that age 15 or 16 its some how dangerous for them. so and so.

at 15 or 16 a girls don't finish their own developing. For marriage, people shoul be adult not child. the point of view of aperson at 16 can be change at 25. Marriage shold be serious constitution so people shoud be marriage at right time
