hi, i'm 13yrs old - i've only just started ballet lessons and i used to go hip-hop and jazz classes before that but only for a year and it was around 3yrs ago! My older sister took dance gcse and got a 'C'...the rest of her class did actually and i was shocked because i think my sister's so much better than that. I don't think that if i took dance gcse i'd be all that good at it because i'm not creative at making up dances or making up a story to go along with it...i'm not that balanced, co-ordinated and flexible either....i feel that if my sister's better than me at dancing then i can't reach a 'C' and will probably receive a 'D', in other words a fail. Do you necessarily need a dance gcse? I don't know if i should take it because it's of my interest and just do my best but if i fail then that's 1 less gcse i've got and i don't think it's possible to re-sit a dance gcse... ?
If you have anything advice, please help me. thanks

well iv been doing ballet since i was 4 and i am now 15. our whole class has just recently started on pointe work instead of the ballet flats. but the thing is i cant get fully up. like the box bit at the front isnt fully on the ground. if that makes sense!. its getting better on my right foot but my left sucks. i just wanna know do you recon i should just quit dancing now coz its obvious im not born to be a dancer.

where did it come from? who invented it? how long has it been around? all that good stuff. i'm doing a report on the box step waltz, so if there's any specific info on that one that'd be great.

For those that are ballerina dancers, what were some of the most challenging things you faced? Thanks~
