To all the disappointed watchers:
So you stepped out onto the back porch last night and did not see much at all?
Try again, the showers will go on for a couple more nights.
But let's get real.
The best time to view the showers is around 3-4 AM. this is when perseus is high in the sky. The reason you can't see them earlier is because when close to the horizon, the show gets lost in the atmospheric haze and all the light pollution from surrounding cities.
Also, dark adaptation of your eyes takes over half an hour, until then you are not going to see anything, no matter how dark it is outside.
So, if you looked outside for 15 minutes and gave up. no wonder you didn't see anything.
The predicted count at maximum actvity is 60 per hour. But you are not always facing in the right direction to see all of them.
Like anything else, but even more so in Astronomy, it helps to do your homework, so you know what to expect.

My wife and I have been married for three years. We are both twenty six years old. I noticed her and a close friend of ours were starting to become closer last year. Long story short, she was seeing this guy behind my back. I became irate and she told me she loved him, but she said she alson loves me. I moved out to collect my thoughts for a couple of weeks and eventually went back home. We are the type to party pretty hard on weekends which to me seems to add to the problems. She has apologized and says she won't ever do it again. She also says that she never loved him and that she was just confused and mad at me. Im trying to regain trust because I do love her. We dont have kids....Thank God. I just get so pissed but I dont want to turn overbearing. What do I do?

I have an 18 year old that is using lately. I had him in rehab about a year ago, but medicaid "refused" to cover and they booted him out...saying "he had no known addiction as of yet", so they would not cover. I wanted treatment before the addiction and he was using so much then that he was skipping school and almost failing out his sr. yr. I got him off by pressing HARD and watching his every move, he gained some trust and graduated with great grades. NOW he's back to using and no insurance because he found a job w/no coverage, and I'm totally disabled and Dad's and addict himself (no longer in home).
I know he smokes pot and has taken E, some pills (all of w/I don't know). What have you done that works or doesn't work. When he was doing good I even helped him to buy a car, matching his money to purchase one, and I had to take the keys last night...I refuse to help him when he's no longer helping himself! (do u think I'm right or wrong there)???? WHAT MORE????? THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!!!

I can't see any way for it to have gotten in. It was trying to get out, which it couldn't. There was nothing beside the tub that it could have climb on, I just can't figure out how it got in. Is it possible for it to get into the septic tank somehow, and come through the drain? Is there anything I can do to prevent something else coming in?

I have a gym membership and my debit card had expired in June so last month wasn't payed. I was going to pay it off this Friday plus this month.

But somehow they got into my account and took $15 out, why $15 I don't know. I didn't give them my new card info yet until I had the funds to pay both months off so they had no payment information. Was this legal? Are there any loopholes they could have used that were perfectly legal?

I would like to know since I made a phone call to them asking them to put it back, and I would like to know if I have the law as back up or am I SoL?

Just heard on the news of the latest FAD diests within the celebrity world, called THE BABY FOOD DIET. they have 2 jars and a "sensible" dinner. No wonder our young people of today are going through eating disorders !!!! Why are they allowed to broadcast or write about these things? Doesnt it just give youngsters and older , more info on how to lose weight in a dangerous way? Should the media have a bad on certain issues?

Hi all, I am asking this question on behalf of my mother, she had breast cancer, then she had an operation and then radiation so the cancer is all gone (Not sure if that's worded properly), anyhow, she must take tamoxifen to prevent the recurrence of the cancer.

We live in San Francisco but we are currently in rural Sabah, Malaysia, you can only get a months worth of the drug (30 days) but we have been here for 25 days and will be here for another 9 days. She currently has 5 pills, and you are supposed to take one each day. Is she in danger if she takes them all for the next 5 days and has a 4 day break? Also, how should she take them? One every other day? Every day until runs out? Etc..

(Also, the original plan to deal with this was that my father would come and meet us and bring with him another month's worth, but he couldn't make it)

So please help!!!
