To be honest, this is why I don't buy magazines or "news"papers anymore. I have had enough of opening a magazine and basically being told, on every other page, that I am not good enough. I'm not slim enough, pretty enough, rich enough, I don't have the right clothes or makeup etc etc.
It terrifies me, as I have a nine year old daughter, when will it ever stop? The worst thing for me, is that it's 99% women who write this trash, we are our own worst enemies in so many ways. I've been a lot happier since we limited the amount of "popular culture" that enters our house! TV is just as bad, with crappy shows like the current crop of "the 1 million people whos bodies are better than yours" list shows.
We should just eat healthily and do regular exercise, right? What's so hard about that?

I agree completely, I know several people with eating disorders and most get their 'tips' from the media. They just give people ideas, it's ridiculous. This baby food diet is one that not very many people know about and then the media gets involved and every knows and everyone wants to try it...has they no common sense!?

i completly agree every week in the newspaper i read there is a female supplement and it always has a dumb diet in it. then they have the nerve to on other days of the week slag off celebrities that are a little too thin and say the shocking number of women with eating disorders. its quite disgusting really.

i'm no longer a doctor in any respect so i could purely advise in all threat searching for scientific treatment in the kind of a psychiatrist or psychologist. To me it actual seems such as you're bothered by bi-polar sickness, regardless of the undeniable fact that it may be extra effective to talk which contain your dad and mom approximately searching for help considering which you're harming your self.

is this true? OMG that is ridiculous. I think the media should be accountable for this, if they don't broadcast it then our kids can't hear/read it and think it's a good idea. Madness.

yes it should be banned!
celebs should be banned from taking about it!
celebs are the 'perfect' people so people want to be like them so they would do whatever to achieve that!
