It is out of our Abiding Love for the Lord that we keep His commandments.. just as out of Love for the Father, the Lord Jesus kept His commandments. John 15:10 " If you keep My commandments you will abide in my love, even as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His Love"..This love is one of fellowship. of abiding in the Lord allowing His Words of Life to abide in us. Out of this union comes a desire to keep all the words of the Lord, to do as He desires instead of what we desire.

The Ones that keep the commandments we see are the ones that the Lord manifests Himself to.
John 14:21
" He who has My commandments and keeps them, he is the one who loves Me, and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will Manifest to him."

John 13:34
" A New Commandment I give to you, that you love one another even as I have loved you , that you also love one another."

1 Cor 13:13
" Now there abide faith, hope, LOVE , these three, and the greatest of these is LOVE"

Keep abiding in His love

"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." Mathew 22:36-40

His words are true, when I wanted to keep the above commandment and took effort, in His time he fullfilled John 14:16

Jesus endorsed his Father's commandments and indeed developed them. He also added the commandment that we should remember him in bread and wine for the sacrifice he was to make on our behalves. Below we have an instance of Jesus' commandments: Matthew 5 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; Jesus himself did indeed keep his Father's commandments and followed His wishes to the ultimate by being a willing sacrifice for our sins. If we are faithful and obedient the power of sin and death will have been defeated and by God's grace we may receive everlasting life at Jesus' return. By Jesus' sacrifice, death, resurrection and ascension he does indeed abide in his Father's love at His right hand. When Jesus returns to set up his Father's kingdom, as we are shown in the Scriptures, he will raise the dead, some to life eternal, those who have been so thankful for all the he has done for us.

He gave us two which sums up, not destroys, the 10 given to Moses. 1) Love God with everything in you and 2) love others as much as you love yourself which means that He wants you to love yourself. Then in 1 Samual 15:19-23, we are told by God that, to Him, obedience is better than sacrifice.

If we truly love God/Christ, then we will follow Jesus' commandments. It's an automatic response.
The other way doesn't work.... I'll do this and then you'll love me. It's not the grace and mercy Jesus shows us.

Unconditional love and mercy is what it is all about!

Simple Message - You got to keep the Commandments of JesusChrist out of love from heart.

He means "Do what I say or I don't love you any more".... possibly as an alternative to the Old Testament commandments, which went out of fashion when J-C came of age.
