pls help!!it is related with refraction and protons?

when a light travels from rarer medium to denser medium it moves towards the normal. why it moves towards the normal? i wud like to know the perfect answer pls!!
protons are present in a nucleus. both have the same charge. do they repel? if not why?

I am an American, I was wondering how people from other countries view us as a whole?

I am proud in some ways to be an american, but i am not proud of the decisions our president and government make. i think americans have a problem with thinking they are great and wonderful, and fail to see things from another countries point of view.

Dont you think the Muslims are more tolerant towards their Hindu minorites than the Hindus?

There a lot of Hindu minorites in the Middle East. They have settled and are living a great life. You never hear of anyone killing, raping or massacring them. You never heard of temples being burned in Kuwait, Oman, Yemen or the UAE. Also, the Hindus over there are succesful in different fields. On the contrary, in India the Muslims are living in slums, they dont have positions in government. Villages burned, muslim women raped and much more.

I've been over there. The muslims in India, in the poorer parts, are harassed and sometimes even whole villages destroyed. If you don't believe me just look it up. I've seen pictures and videos where Indian broke into homes of entire families and set them on fire.. They've even snatched babies from their mothers' arms and set them on fire. It's not a joke. If you get the chance to step foot outside of our border and highly censored nation, you will see that life was not what was shown on TV. It's hard out

i have been wid this boy for about 2 weeks and im fine when i am talkin to him over msn messenger and texting but when i come face to face with him he is very diffrent...he can be quite nasty to other people and i feel quite sorry for them also he is quite rude and im not sure if i like his personality...i dont want to finish with him but i might just wait and see how it goes but i feel quite mean finishing it! what shall i do?

ONLINE FRIEND!!! HELP SHE WANTS to MEET ME!! READ WHOLE THING!!?

I have an online friend. She says she's my age and she live is my town. I never gave her anyother information. We've been talking for 4 weeks and now she's got it in her head that we are meeting at this one restaraunt on Tuesday. I emailed her sayin this-"I am so sorry! Today I got bad news that I'm moving to Miami! I'm sorry!"
Suprisingly she believed it and she replied saying--"This sucks! I can't believe it! I really wanted to meet you at _________."

Just to be safe I said-
"Yeah, and I'm dying my hair brown and getting it cut to my shoulders."
(I just said that because my mom says she wants to go to that restaraunt on my brothers birthday which is on the same day!she already has my description of what Iook like in my profile so just incase she thinks that's me it's really not)She told me she was cryin so I feel kind of guilty But I wanted to be safe.I know it was bad that I met someone I didn't know online! I learned my lesson! But is it ok that I made her upset like that?

What should i do, please help?

I have no idea on what i should do. My little brother (age 14) goes out with my former best friend (age 18). At first i didn't know how to react. Then i tried to be supportfull, because i diddnt want to push my bro away or lose my friendship. But i couldent, and the more time they spent togather the angrier i got. It has been 4 months now and that anger has grown to hate. The woman who used to be my best friend, i now hate with all my soul. Everytime i see the two of them togather i cringe. And they come home every-day after school togather. And everyday i am pokite to the both of them. And my former friend still thinks that we're good friends, but i dont. My question is this, should i tell her how much i hate her, or continue being polite. Oh, and she knows that i dont approve of them going out. Please help, thanks in advance.

1998 Chevy Malibu-heater/ac problems?

I'm having trouble with my fan not working. It'll work one minute and not the next. It doesn't matter whether I'm using the heater or A/C. Then also, my check engine light and brake light come on then once I shut my car off they turn off. What is wrong with my car and how do I fix it???
