Right now I live in the U.S. but when I move to Costa Rica next month Sprint Nextel told me that I wouldn't be able to use my cell phone down there, so does anyone have any options as to how I might be able to have a mobile phone down there?

In my experience in Costa Rica it has been possible to stay in the country without resident status indefinitely by entering on a tourist visa and simply exiting the country for 3 days every 90 days, and then re-entering on a tourist visa.

I have been told by someone at the consulate in London that they may be tightening up the laws in August to prevent people doing this. Is this true? Could someone fill me in on more detail?

We are looking for a place that is NOT All Inclusive, away from alot of tourists and somewhat near the ocean. Cheap too. What airline is the best to fly to Costa Rica (from Ohio)?

I'm 27, blonde, blue-eyed, and planning to explore Central America and the Caribbean next year. I'm wanting to go by myself, and plan to research the hell out of where I'm going and learn basic Spanish, but wondered if you had any thoughts or feedback about travelling as a single gal? I'm sticking to the relatively safe spots...starting in Costa Rica, then heading up to Cuba and then Belize. Any things I should definitely do (and not do) beyond the obvious common sense? Suggestions for timing? Thank you so much!

Where is a nice place to visit in Costa Rica? I'd love a nice small resort or retreat that includes yoga and would love to be able to see some of the country.
