Not budget, but not too high end, either. Thanks.

I need to know first -where- this big market is in Venice
and then -a map- for the area.
It is a market for clothes, suvenirs, antiques etc
(something like the big open market of Camden in London)

I have searched a little on the web but I found only info
about food/fish and meat markes (but not what i want)

Does anyone know about it?
And maybe a link for a nice map of the area?

Thanks in advance

When I visited Venice, it was pouring with rain, water was up to your tush from flooding, the St. Mark's campanola had fallen down and had been rebuilt in 1911 or something, the place smelled like a drain
and still you couldn't move for people, the gondola ride costs a week's wages, singing is extra, Harry's bar I missed. Why should I reprise this experience?

I'm going to be going to either Florence or Venice during the month of July. I hear that the weather in Florence is HORRIBLE during July, very hot and humid. Whats it like in Venice at this time and what city would you recommend overall (i'm about 17 years old).

This isn't an attack or criticism about Venice. I've dreamed of going to Venice & being taken on a romantic boat-ride since I was 16 years old... just wouldn't want it to be an unpleasant experience because of a smell.

My partner and I are spending a week in Venice next month. We like experiencing the history of a place and tend not to like the typical tourist activities. What's the best thing to do in Venice if you've not been before?

My focus is on the soils under the tower, but i'll take any facts you wanna cough up. Sources are much appriciated.
