Venice is your best bet. Since the Isle of Murano. is right there. you can get authentic pieces, either in venice, or murano. (cheaper too)

Venice is near the island of Murano where murano glass is made, and if you really wanted to go straight to the source of murano glass, you could visit the island with only a 10 to 15 minute boat ride (water ferry). It might even be less expensive getting the glass there due to the fact that the prices in Venice are more expensive due to the influx of tourists. Depending on the quality and style of glass that you want, prices will vary accordingly-anywhere from 10 euro to several hundred euros. Happy shopping.

The best quality is from Murano. For a good peice you can pay about 40 euros. The Murano merchants will ship huge peices home if that's what you require. If you want cheaper you can get Murano glass all over Venice.

I have spent a lot of time in Venice (used to live near Portofino, but my boyfriend lives in Venice) and have one suggestion for you. There are a lot of copies and not-so-good pieces, so my best suggestion for you would be to check with the concierge of one of the nicer hotels in Venice (The Danieli, for example) and they would be able to give you the best places at the time. They are very knowledgeable about these things and if it's a nicer hotel, then their reputation is at stake and they would be very accurate. I don't know of any stores in particular for you to visit, sorry - nor do I have any prices as I've never purchased any Murano glass, other than small pieces.

Good luck - and have a great time in Venice!
