I'm moving from the US to Ireland so it seems useless to register here and pay to ship my stuff later. Is there a place (or a nice department store akin to Macy's) where i can set up a bridal registry in Ireland and not have to pay excess shipping charges?

Normally I would have registered on Amazon.com.

If we go it will be from May 10-20. I need hotel ideas, and fun ideas. We are all for visiting attractions, but want to go out at night and have some fun too!

I'm taking a trip and don't want to get arrested. I know that if you even try to buy beer underage in the US, they can arrest you.

Is that the same in Ireland?

I'm not planning on getting drunk or doing anything stupid.

I'm going to be studying in Ireland for a month in May. Any ideas about not looking like an ignorant American while I'm over there?

I'm Irish, but I've never been there. I know tons about the culture, but there's still the undeniable fact...I am an American.

I'll be staying for a week and a half in Allihies, which I don't know much about. Any advice or fun places to go is appreciated!

I'm about to graduate from Uni (Archaeology), and I want to visit ROI as it's only just across the water and I'm really interested in the region's history.

Is Ireland back-packer friendly to the English? I don't mean to offend but am worried about the reception an Englishman might recieve if he is asking questions about Ireland's history?

Are there any sites/ places I should look out for or a time of year to go? I'm more in to traditional, rural life rather than cities, someone has recommnded SW Ireland- true? Is there any reason why I can't approach people and enquire about their region's history?

Thanks!

I'm American and I can get Irish Citizenship. Are there any disadvantages to getting Irish Citizenship? Would I have to go to war if there was an Irish draft?
