If we go it will be from May 10-20. I need hotel ideas, and fun ideas. We are all for visiting attractions, but want to go out at night and have some fun too!

Oh, you will have FUN! I was just there in July of '06. I'm not sure where you are planning to go exactly but make time for the SW of Ireland. I think that's where they take pictures for all of those Ireland calendars! I spent time in Dingle and took a ferry to the Blasket Islands. This is something that you will NEVER forget if you decide to do it. This is a must see!

All around the Dingle Peninsula there are achaeological tours, hiking trips, ferry rides, and horseback riding. I still highly recommend the Blasket Islands, though.

Also Killarney National Park is amazing. It's absolutely beautiful. Same thing only this time with more shopping. The town is pretty touristy so there's stuff to do there but once you're in the park, it's like your own world.

Also, if you're around Dublin, make sure to visit the Visitors' Center on O'Connell Street. You can hop on any bus and it will take you somewhere on O'Connell. Here you can get all; kinds of info on relatively inexpensive tours. I took one to the Wicklow Mountains just south of Dublin. It was amazing - especially the town of Glendolough (I know I spelled that wrong). Here there is a big national park and an unbelieveable ancient moastic site.

I could go on and on. I had an amazing time and pretty much winged the whole trip. You really can't go wrong. E-mail me for more info or pictures, I'll be glad to help..at least with the places where I have been :) moonsailor77@yahoo.com

I'm not sure just how much fun you want to have at night but the Temple Bar area in Dublin is the place to be. It's crazy at night! There are also great plays to be seen in Dublin what with the great literary history and all!

Guinness brewery is highly overrated and a tourist trap all around.

That's all I got for now ;)

Where in Ireland would u be going? I live in Dublin and I have to say it is a great city to visit. I would highly recommend staying in Dublin City Centre. There are lot's of hotels to choose from.

Check out www.dublin-hotel.net.

Dublin City is excellent for shopping aswell. U have to visit our most famous shopping street, Grafton Street, which has all the best shops and also has a fantastic atmosphere 365 days a year. The night life in Dublin is also fantastic. You'll have no shortage of places to go. If ur in to visiting attractions, u just need to walk around Dublin to see these. There are also bus tours u can take of the city, which pretty much show u everything.

If u are interested in Irish culture then u will also find that in Dublin City. The streets are full of buskers and entertainers. There are plenty of traditional Irish shops and music stores. The city in general just has a great atmosphere.

Other cities worth visiting in Ireland are Cork, Belfast and Derry. If you are looking for a less hectic trip to Ireland then I would recommend somewhere like Donegal or Waterford, both of which are coastal. These would be known more so for their scenery than their nightlife, which would be ideal if you're looking for a quiet holiday. Although, I think if u want to soak up the Irish culture u need to visit Dublin.

Hope this helps..Enjoy ur trip!!
