After I spend some time with my relatives I want to go see India by myself. First I want to do community service in a slum in Delhi, then go and do some community service in Nagaand. Then I want to go surf in Kerela and try to get in a movie and go to some clubs in Mumbai. My dad is against the first part of the plan at least, and I haven't told him the rest. He wants me to work in a hospital in Delhi. Any Suggestions? also can you help me out by telling me some community service organizations and if you think this trip is feasable. Any suggestions are welcome.

16 years after the Babri Masjid was demolished by hindu fundamentalists in the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh in India leading to riots across India that killed thousands, mostly muslims, the govt. of India has not done anything to assuage the hurt feelings of the muslims, nor made good on the promise of the then Prime Minister of India who assured that the Masjid will be rebuilt on the same site.
Criminal cases against the accused have been allowed to die a natural death whereas the political party which gained the maximum from the entire episode, failed to build even a mandir at the site after more than 8 years in power, having come to power on the promise that a huge mandir will be built at that site.
How can we solve this problem once and for all to the satisfaction of all parties, peacefully & permanently??

I am travelling with my boyfriend and we only have 8-9 days. Don't want to make it a hectic trip so we will probably stay in one region. We like off-beat places with a base station in small city so we can get to know the local Indian culture. We can also deal with heat as far as it doesn't get uncomfortable and mosquitoes dont attack; )
