For the 1st week of April, places in India could be, if you exclude water sports from your requirements, you may go to Nainital, Dalhousie, Darjeeling and Sikkim (Gangtok).
For water sports, but with a little warm weather yet good for honeymoon, Goa could be another destination. Still better and altogether different destination (experience) for the purpose could be Lakshadweep Islands by cruise.

Hmmmm.... Due to Global recession all five star hotels crashes 30% rates. But if you prefer Goa, then there you can get more than 50% off. You will get five star property, service and luxury in just three star hotel rates. And you are going to honeymoon, so I think, that any honeymoon couple do not go to stroll outside the hotel.
