I´m not a fan of so called tourist places and I prefer to meet locals as well. But the most important for me is good local quality beer and relaxed athmosphere.

Brussels, Amsterdam,Copenhagen, Paris, Hamburg, Madrid. It can be in the suburbs, doesn't have to be downtown. Also needs enough room for three people to sleep, not necessarily three bedrooms.

I am going to Berlin which has an amazing Swarovski Crystal Christmas Tree, Ice Skating, Carolers, and Christmas Festival but unfortunately I am leaving for Italy the day before that all begins... I was wondering if there is anything similar in Italy? Thanks!

I have been seriously considering moving to Norway. I have heard all the wonderful advantages of moving there but I am wondering what some of the downsides would be.
Thanks!

I have never been to either of these cities....but I hope to get to see both eventually....and I probably can't do them both justice on one trip. I have read good things about Prague lately....and I am keen to see Vienna because I am a classical music lover. I suppose my question is....which should I try to see first?

I am thinking of visiting the Hungarian capital next year, can anybody tell me:

* When is the best time to go?
* What is it like for nightlife?
* Where are the best places to meet young people?
* Can anyone recommend worthwhile youth hostels?
* Is the public transport system good?
* Is it easy to communicate with people?
* Are there are lot of attractions?
* Is there enough to see and do, to fill up 7 full days?
* Can you recommend any interesting daytrips from the city?

I am interested in sightseeing, football, photography, shopping, people-watching, characterful urban villages, and doing the 'backpacker thing'

Thanks a lot for your answers
