I have been seriously considering moving to Norway. I have heard all the wonderful advantages of moving there but I am wondering what some of the downsides would be.
Thanks!

I'm Norwegian and our biggest problem is to find something to complain about. :)

Our climate is cold, but for us this is OK because I like to ski and do winter sports. In the winter we have sunlight only for some hours. In the northern part there is totally dark 24 hour for some time. But in the summer it is the other way. 24 hour sunlight in the northern part and only a few hours darkness in the southern. Kind of cool actually.

We have som problems with large group of immigrants. 25 % of Oslo is immigrants, and without any good policy for integration the problems are mouting.

There are also a pretty high tax level (about 30-40 %) but we have a great education and healthcare system.

You should try to live here, but dont expect NYC :)

Long cold winters with very short days round December.
High cost of living, high taxes.
