I was just going through the WWE site. They released the text messages. As well as what could have been phone conversations between Chris Benoit and co-workers and WWE officials.

I always thought Benoit was a great wrestler. If this is the truth, then I wonder what really happened? What could have drove him to this? I have heard the drugs have been found in the house but not in his system, could it be the effects of with drawls?

What is you opinion to this WWE story on Benoit?

I do not mean to offend any one. I put up a tribute to Benoit yesterday, and some one got it removed fast. This time I am posting WWE news, its not my opinion, i am asking for opinions.

Just wondered cos I have been watching some of the shows and it seams really wierd how they are investigating it all so publicly and how all the wrestlers seam to be using it as a reason to start fights. I think it's a pretty sick publicity stunt if he aint but if he is god bless him.

Im wondering why people are paying tribute to this man ? Never in my life have i seen a sicko like that been remembered in such high regard , his creerer and life in the spot light should not be involved in any discussions of this tradgy and the real focous should be on his wife and child the victims of this crime , Benoit should rot in and unmarked grave for these sick actions . The ravid wolverine ?? The cowardly waste of space .

Has anyone noticed that in a few hours it went from, he was a good family man who could never have done such a thing to "well, it was roid rage, so it wasn't realy his fault". So we went from he didn't do it, to he didn't mean to do it. My question is, what if the toxicology reports come back negative for steroids? Will it be, the devil made him do it?

I missed Raw this week, but I heard that Chris Benoit killed someone. Do you think it was him or John Cena? I really don't see the motive for Benoit doing it, but I guess no one really thought it was Cena, because that would've been too obvious. What do you think?

ABC said that he murdered his wife and child then hung himself. Fair enough, there was no sign of forced entry etc, but I personaly don't think that Benoit would do such a thing. He had so much going for him, why would he end his and his family's lives?
Do you think someone set them up?
Do you think the whole thing doesn't really add up?
Why would a successful, talented and wealthy man end his life?

If Chris really did do this to his family then all respect for him that i had has certainly disappeared. Yes he was a great wrestler, yes he was a great entertainer etc etc etc but that doesnt necessarily make him a nice person now does it. None of us on here knew him personally, none of us knew anything about his personal life other than what he let us know. I think we all need to wait and see what is said for definate by police etc although having just read the Wikipedia page on him i think its pretty cut and dried now!! (and yes before anyone asks i was a fan of his!!!!!)

I think that if he had only killed his wife, (nothing personal or anything) that a lot more people would still respect him a bit more. Killing his wife would still be horrible, but come on a 7 year old kid. The wife would have had a chance at least, but not his son. But overall I think we are all jumping to conclusions. We will never know the truth, and what happens if down the road we get another detective saying that this was all a mistake int he investigating process? They were all murdered and it was set up to look like Benoit hung himself. Then what we would look like idiots all of us including WWE! for saying he was a no good murderer. Anything could have happened and I really do not know if I can respect him, but I am definitely not going to say he is no good he is a murderer and so on. I am not going to jump to any conclusions yet until the whole story is told. The autopsy and toxicology results, etc. And wwe was wrong to retract the tribute, if for nothing else his wife and son.
OH and ps. for all you out there who are saying you only respect his "persona" or character ion the ring, thats not who he really is... blah blah blah. Do you personally know him?? or know his personality, or anything to say thats not who he really is. You all keep saying he murdered his family etc. do you have any concrete evidence in your habds right now to prove he did it? or are you just going on what the media is telling you? Well you should have learned by now, we are all wrestling fans here, they story you hear is not always the truth. so dont judge him its none of our jobs to do that.

IMO he's getting blackballed even in death. No more tributes, most likely no HOF, all his merchandise shelved, etc. Memo to Chris, don't kill anyone.

ok check this out i just thought this through, Benoit had to go home for a family Emergency right, so what if there was a killer in Benoit's house and threatened Nancy Benoit to call her husband to come home unless they will kill her, then when she tells him to come home on the way they kill his wife and kid, all they do here is wait for Benoit to get home, there is like 2 or 3 of them, when he gets home they knock him out and drag him to the basement and they hang him, then they grab his cellphone and text the co workers, and then grab nancy's phone and text the co workers, then they leave the bibel on the dead bodies and they leave, i know chilling story but its a theory i just thought of, you think something close to this is possible and Chris Benoit could be innocent?

What is it with people? The celebrity worship in this country has gone crazy, and people wonder why other countries look down on America. Two people are dead because of this a**hole and yet some still have respect for him. Those of you that do do realize that his character was not real. You say he loved his family, yet he killed them. That is like saying that a school shooter loved his school. Do you guys even understand what love is. You don't kill those whom you love, you just don't, this seems like it should be some unspoken rule, but apperently it must be spelled out. I've seen others called a heartless monsters because they said just what I'm saying which is ironic given the subject. So what, it's heartless to belive that it is wrong for a man to kill his wife and child? Respect him for what he did in the ring? What he did in the ring, what does that give him a get out of Hell free card? All he did was nothing but a more physical form of acting, nothing spectacular.

i mean no matter how much i try i cant get it out of my head, i looked at Benoit as a hero becuase he went out there and he gave everything for us, and he put his body on the line, i just cant believe that he killed his wife and kid and then hanged himself, anyone else feel this way for some reason this feels like a bigger shock than when Eddie Guerrero died, its like the only thing i think about, anyone else feel this way?

Now I know how much we all used to love john cena but he is played out he is annoying, he is race confused, he can only do five moves and to me the boy aint got much talent and I dont think any one especially some kid desereved a near two year title reign(Cena becomes champ WM21 Loses to edge at new years regains royal rumble loses one night stand regains unforgiven and since then we have had to watch this stupid sob run around like he's some great wrestler or excellent champion he doesnt have a fan over the age of 18 id say I was at wrestlemania 23 boy did we boo his *** outta detroit and yet he still over comes the odds every time just so mcmahon can make a quick buck off some cena t-shirts each and every week

In all honesty I hate to even bring this the Benoit tragedy up... It was a senseless and terrible thing that happened and that's the end of the story. However, it seems like some people (at least on Yahoo Answers) still try to see him as a person that should be remembered fondly and respected. I will not pretend that I know anything about wrestling or anything personal about Benoit because I do not. However, I just don't see how anyone can say that this guy was actually a good guy - especially after reading this quote I found in an MSN.com article that was written about the Benoit tragedy.

"The boy had old needle marks in his arms, Ballard said. He said he had been told the parents considered him undersized and had given him growth hormones."

Very sad stuff...
