It ruined it but now there is a bigger storyline. If you noticed Vince had the show on RAW being a memorial for him and showing his greatest achievements and then on ECW the next night after he found out that Benoit was the murderer he pretty much apologized for showing the memorial show and the ECW show was dedicated to those affected by the tragedy. He also removed all memorial shows from the air and from wwe.com. He then removed all information about Benoit from the website. You can see his announcment and all other information about this at www.wwe.com.

I think it really messed it up. They had to deal with 3 deaths: 1) McMahon's "death" storyline, then in real life with 2) Sensational Sherrie passing away and now 3) Chris Benoit and family.
I think it was too much and that it all happened this month so they had to end the McMahon storyline.

Vince is a tycoon for whom business comes first .. he cant make his son join his 'kiss-mu-@$$' club just to get a storyline ... he wont let benoit's death ruin his script ... n no wonder the official statement doesnt mention Vince's condolences for the slayed family.. Vince aint coming out of his hiding (storyline) until whenever he had originally planned to.

I mean it was screwed up to start did you here the reactions to it but the Benoit death just put the whole thing out where Vince came out and said he was alive.

I wish Vince didnt fake his death to begin with. Oh well, that would of been better than Benoit dying...and on top of that finding out that Benoit is the one with the blood on his hands.

To hell with the storyline it was fake .
Benoit and his family's deaths are more important than some silly storyline that will be forgotten about in a few months .

I think he shortened it, because Vince was going to come out and admit it was his character who died soon, before people got too bored with it. Darned shame about Benoit. I feel for his family and friends.
