By the way.. I thought Vince Mcmahon was dead. Why was he on Monday Night Raw yesterday offering his condolences to the Benoit family? I don't get it.... Is wrestling real or not?

lol!, yeah and Andy Kaufman is comming back soon.

In case you haven't noticed, Las Vegas bookmakers never take bets on wrestling matches.

Wrestling isn't so much fake though, its more like tumbling or gymnastics. Just because the outcome and routines are planned and practicesd in advance does not mean that gymnastics is fake either.

The physical prowess needed to be a rockstar wrestler today and the strength needed are very real. These guys work hard and if you don't think their bodies are real then you should go up to one of them and tell them so.

Intellectually speaking, is Shakesphere fake because the play's outcome is always the same?

Hey, that guy really did do a backflip from the top of the post, and if you think that's easy then try it for yourself!

If instead, you think of wrestling as though it were a presentation of skills, rather than a competative sport like swimming or kickboxing, then you will appreciate it and enjoy it better.

Vince's death was all a part of a storyline to get rid of his character. Even I knew that and I haven't watched wrestling in years. However, Chris Benoit's murder/suicide is not a story. It was all over the news and there was a real investigation to look into this matter. CNN wouldn't put something on if it was part of a storyline. And no one is that sick to make up something like that. Vince was fake, but this unfortunatly was not.

Wrestling is scripted athletic entertainment. There are accidents that end in results, but that's as 'real' as it gets. McMahon did the tribute show before he realized that Benoit was the person who murdered his wife and child. He also ended the 'death' storyline by appearing live on tv last night. But, no, the Benoit story is true. It is all over the real news - CNN, ABC, NBC, etc.

Wrestling is fake in that the outcome is determined. Like a soap opera, the story lines are made up, but like everything else in life, tragedies do happen. This is one of them.

What happens outside the ring is also real. Benoit killing his family and then hanging himself is real. It's not part of the storyline, and it's not scripted. It's reality.

NO! Vince dead was a story line, but the NEWS doesn't print a double murder suicide to go with a WWE story line!

This is an AWFUL tragity!!

I personally QUESTION his MENTALITY at the time of the murders. The text messages are VERY detached and there is an article on Pro Wrestling's Daily News Source questioning his mentality at the time with "sources" from friends and family. If you would like the link, email me, Yahoo! is not allowing me to post it!!!!

He should be remember for the AWSOME wrestler he was and his wife remember for the contrubutions she made as WOMAN! They BOTH deserve to be inducted into the Hall of Fame next year!!!!

It was real. The doctor who did an autopsy of Chris Benoit said that his brain "resembled the brain of an 85-year-old Alzheimer's patient". So wrestling, literally, drove him insane. Part of the reason is because he was stupid with his head (flying headbutt missed without bracing his hands WAY too much, and many wrestlers said he was the only guy dumb enough to take a clean chairshot to the back of the head). Part of the reason was probably due to steroid use and a episode of "roid rage". Very sad, as I was a massive Chris Benoit mark. But very true.

Wrestling is not fake or real it is staged by script. The same way that a movie or most tv shows are. The blows and slams are real(anyone try faking those). If you would've stop and listened to what Vince McMahon said you would have heard him say that his character's death was a part of the show and Benoitand family wasn't. Next time stop and listen to what is being said.

um no Chris Benoit and his family are seriously dead. Wrestling is fake, Vince dying was a storyline and then when he heard the news of Benoit's death. He said that he was done with the storyline....

ok WWE does have storylines but when something like Chris Benoit killing his family and himself (not saying he did cause i dont know) then its not fake cause it all over the news when its not on the news its fake like Vince in the limo that was fake still trying to figure out how he did that.
