One day, i was surfing the web and found a page about underwater football. It looked really cool, but the site only talked about teams from Canada. Anyone know if there are any teams in the US? Specifically Ohio, or even western indiana or northern kentucky.

I just learned to skimboard this weekend but picked it up pretty quickly (could do shove-its and 180s along the sand--I've wakeskated before so that's why) and wanted to get a board to learn on. I would probably be doing more stuff along the sand, but would also like to ride it into waves sometimes (not for air yet, just to get a feel). Double tipped would be best so I can still do 180s and the such. Also, I need to know what size to get: I was thinking medium. I'm 6ft, 145lbs, and athletic, so probably a thinner board would be best, right? I'd also like to try to keep it below $100 if possible for this first one.

I want to go surfing and for some reason a 30 foot wave gets me excited(I know their not for beginners but want to surf them one day) but rip currents sound scary.
Can I see it from the beach?
How do you know if you're caught in one?
Getting out of one?
Are they common?

It's all very short notice. I'm slightly overweight and out of shape but recently inquired to my college's crew club, because it's a sport that I'm interested in. They're always open to new members, and there are no try outs. You can start at any level of experience or physical fitness. If I choose to do it, I need to meet them at five am tomorrow to run, and I haven't ran in forever. Should I do it? I'm pretty much just looking for encouragement.
