I want to gain as much strength as possible on my 2k pieces. I am very good at long distance but need help building more power on short pieces. Suggestions?

I would like to set up a boat with twin outboards, I have a opertunity to buy 2 used 50 hp motors but they are standard and both turn same direction. will the trim tabs take care of tourque or do twins need to be counter rotating. Is there a high hp that is a line not to cross or what?

In May 11th, 2003, I almost got killed in an ocean riptide that pulled me out to sea three miles away from Santa Cruz beach on 41st Ave. I'm scared to death of going back to surfing, but when I surfed, I felt so serene.

How can I get rid of that fear? I want to surf again but I am so scared. HELP!!

I want to get my boyfriend some surfing lessons for his birthday, he's not a total beginner - he has had some lessons a few years ago, but I don't really know what the best places are/how to book this kind of thing in advance. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas?

Obviously it depends on the width and thickness of the board and also what style i surf, but anyhow..... I am 86kg's and currently surfing a 6'6. Now, I'm used to surfing very small boards and I suspect 6'6 is too small, especially in big waves.

I have been surfing for very long, so I don't want any answers by groms/kooks/bodyboarders who think they know something, furthermore, this is more of a discussion than a question...
