I'm sure you have all heard that Italian football is been cancelled for a while. It may not start again until next season if the Italian FA dicide that.

Lets all pray they do.

If Italian football is cancelled then Celtic don't have to play Milan and (like Tottenham) go through to the next round.

Also Scotland won't have to play Italy in the euro 2008 qualifiers. So we will get 6 points because of there forfit.

So really, this ruling suits Scottish football to the ground.

I really feel this is not a good move for the wee man. He is good enough to play for one of the top sides in England, but only if had continued his development in Scotland for another couple of years. I bet Petrov wishes he hadn`t joined AV now. There was a talent who could have gone on to better things with a bit of patience.

Isn`t it nice to see some of the lesser lights of the Scottish game getting a chance to win some silverware? Doesn`t seem to be an isolated occurance, this is the second year on the trot that before January is out, we know there will be no Old Firm Scottish Cup Final in May.
