Celtic Traditionally their support has been drawn from the dispossessed. They are mainly descendants of Roman Catholic immigrants from Ireland . The potato famine underdogs, strike breakers, strangers in their own country.
Many of them still think of themselves as Irish and the term 'Bhoys" is a heavy handed attempt at an Irish accent.

celtic, boys,if said in a southern irish accent ,sounds like bhoys,a lot of irish come to glasgow ,and would say "lets go and see the BHOYS play. the name simply stuck.
