Unarguably the result of an agent convincing his charge that he knows better. No doubt as we all know and cherish his memories Martin O'Neill is a great man-manager, BUT Aston Villa are NOT the team that has seemingly been portrayed by Maloney's agent.
Again if the agent had not been so vociferous, maybe Maloney would have taken time to reflect on what Celtic did for him through his injury(ies).
Maloney was more likely to be noticed playing European footy for Celtic, than fighting relegation this season in the Premiership.
Petrov, that churlish wee boy who stomped around at the title party (Sellik - Hibs, and magically entertained by Howard from HBOS) with his arms folded and a face like Mum has said "no chocolate till you've finished your veg" Petrov. Don't know who you mean.
Now that Maloney is gone keep looking to the future.
The future is blidingly bright, the future is green and white.

No club is basically too great to flow down. Leeds United and Newcastle have been greater golfing kit than Villa, although they went down. Villa are faraway from risk-free. They have been given a great 3 factors yesterday, yet while they lose against QPR next week they are decrease back in enormous concern. They besides the fact that have an fairly skinny, green squad and that is mandatory to do no longer forget approximately it develop into as quickly as easiest examining. reading are the single club with a worse squad than Villa, and so as that they have got fairly generally been appalling this season. Villa realistically desire 10 aspects from their final 9 video games, and human beings video games are: QPR (H) Liverpool (H) Stoke (A) Fulham (H) guy Utd (A) Sunderland (H) Norwich (A) Chelsea (H) Wigan (A) there are lots of furniture there the place they might get the ten aspects, even though it would require them taking part in consistently the way they have of their final 2 video games. And if historic previous tells us something, that is that the backside of the table will become no longer a risk to predict on the 2nd of the season, when you consider that club variety fluxuates lots.

I've never been convinced with Maloney I doubt he'll improve much, and he's way too lightweight to make an impact on the Epl, he'll go down..down..down.. just like Miller and Stan, he should have settled for the cushy life in Glasgow for a few year yet, trouble was Mc Geady is improving and Maloney believed the newspaper talk??

i dont think so at all at least theres more competition in the premiership. Villa have just started 2 improve the squad so could easily be one of the big clubs in a couple of years 2 come and as for petrov check your facts and u could find since he joined villa he has been injured a few times so hasnt made much of an impact so if he stays fully fit could probly do good things for villa.

It is a bad move for Maloney and he should have stayed at Sellik. O'Neill is being found out at Villa with his one and only tactic of the high ball up the middle. He has little else to offer hence the signing of Carew. His team also cannot out muscle the other EPL teams and frankly Sellik play better football under "wee Goardon". Maloney is a footballer and he would have progressed better at Porkheid so a bad move for him.

Although O'Neill is a legend at Celtic Park, he didn't leave much of a legacy and I have doubts about his ability. I think Maloney's Wallet is bigger than his talent and he will regret going there. But Agents know best and we the ignorant masses are just their to point and laugh when it all goes horribly wrong and he's begging for a game wi Dunfermline!

Good move for Maloney - we'll see how really good he is in a much stronger league. Petrov has been disappointing by all accounts so it's going to be tough for him.

You heard it here first, O'neill will take Aston Villa down, they are on a major slump and will get dragged into a relegation dogfight alongside Wigan, Sheff Utd, Fulham, West Ham.
The early season "promise" is being shown up as a false dawn. All the talk of Villa making Europe have been proved to be absolute tosh and O'Neill will take Maloney into the Championship with him.
BAD MOVE Shauny Bhoy, was it the prospect of working with your old boss again or did you see big £ signs in front of your eyes.(mair money to spend at the sweetie shop) or was it the chance to get away fae wee Aiden so you could get a shot on the swings yirself.
O'Neill is getting found out big style in the big boys league!!!
