Yes but Lindsay, he wasn`t deemed good enough to replace PLG, in fact he wasn`t even in the running. That is my point, if he was that good the Gers would never have let him go and also they would have bent over backwards to get him back. Remember when Celtic beat them 2-0 in the CIS Cup last year, the knives were out for Mc Leish. What has changed in a year?

I also don,t think he,s right for the job ,he,s only got it through circumstances ,the Scotland job should always go to someone who would die for the cause ,a wee bit strong but you know what i mean, but anyway big Ecks in so we,ll just all have to get behind him.

Forced out of Ibrox by a minority of supporters yet he had an excellent record with the famous Glasgow Rangers. Granted the position of Scotland's Manager is a step back but he will do as well as anyone else who is available. He has excellent support in the form of Roy Aiken who himself was recently fired and Andy Watson. These appointments were the SFA contribution to shortening the dole queue in Scotland and should be seen as a humanitarian gesture.

Same story with walter smith before he did well for the national team. Just remeber that Rangers sacked him in 1998.
McLiesh will do a good job, get ready for the Eck's factor.

It's not his fault a numpty like Murray couldn't see what a good manager he is.
He was on the jam roll and available at the same time the Scotland job became available - logical choice in my opinion.

He's a "Yes" man ... just what the SFA want. Also, there is no chance of him being able to walk out when he wants because no club would touch him ... again.
