to assist MLS in marketing of the game?

I realize that it isn't going to be instantaneous, and that any respect can't be bought - it must be earned. But I for one hope that soccer becomes as popular here as our gridiron football. But more importantly, I hope that the quality of play gains respect by improving itself through the development of American players and working agreements similar to the one with Chivas.

Let's forget our national pride and look at this as fans of a great game. It would be great to have a premier league that operates just as the established leagues do. I long for that day.

....for late night clubbing. England footballers did exactly the same thing. Do they get dropped? No - cus they are spoiled and we cannot upset the poor little dears, now can we?
Is it time pro footballers faced up to their responsibilities as icons for kids; acted a bit more professional; and stopped acting like spoilt brats......getting drunk, driving expensive cars recklessly, and acting like something other than a person who kicks a football for a living......

I think Barcelona has a great chance of winning la liga this year with ronaldinho, messi, eto'o, and all the great players they have but watch out for Sevilla they have a great team and the scoring leader this season kanoute but i think they are not going to be able to handle the preasure

Ok. I am a 6'4", 17 yr old male who hasn't played soccer since I was like 10 or 11. I have great relexes so i plan to get back to Goalkeeping. How do I get up to game speed and make the high school team next year as a Junior. Any suggestings? Also i work part time ... should i quit? or what?

Just heard an american say how Real madrid are the best team in the worl as they have the best players in the world, and he mentioned in the list Van Nistolroy, Beckham, Carlos, Raul and Ronaldo.

First of all they were prob the best players 8 years ago and also has it not reached America yer that 1, Ronaldo is no longer at Madrid and 2, real have not won anything for 4 years

once again 4 years and no trophy! thats poor for the BEST TEAM IN THE WORLD! LOL

What is with this sily American idear that status make you a footballer and not Skill?

you only as good as you last job and real's team of has beens is proof enought of that!
