to assist MLS in marketing of the game?

I realize that it isn't going to be instantaneous, and that any respect can't be bought - it must be earned. But I for one hope that soccer becomes as popular here as our gridiron football. But more importantly, I hope that the quality of play gains respect by improving itself through the development of American players and working agreements similar to the one with Chivas.

Let's forget our national pride and look at this as fans of a great game. It would be great to have a premier league that operates just as the established leagues do. I long for that day.

Your thoughts and opinions please.

I couldn't have said it better myself! And yea, I don't understand how people can put down a league of the same game that they love...I really don't. You would think everyone would be supportive, but unfortunately not everyone empathizes with the Americans in this case. Great question, +1 star for you :)

Well i think the Galaxy signing Beckham was better, this of course will help, but its up to players to want to play in the USA. Money talks though, and if MLS clubs offer enough of it, you'll see the quality of play improve.
