Anyone who saw that return in the pro bowl....Weren't the Bears going to put him on offense during the year? Or was that some kind of rumor? After that return...holy crap...that looked like Reggie Bush....

I used to play high school football and was starting QB at well ill say a school in northern california redwood shores to be exact.
I was named starter at my sophomore season and i quit playing football during my senior season because i had too much work.
I got cussed out the day i did not try out for the football team and told my friend im not trying out. My team was the 2nd best in the county and had only 1 loss. In the senior season i did not play they had 6 losses. And i almost got jumped by my former teammates. People made threats towards me. I only have 2 friends left. What should i have done, i am thinking about trying out and getting out of northern california for college. Im trying to go for college football but why were people so mean to me?

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Why is troy smith a projected late 2nd rounder wasnt he a top 5 pick at beginningh of season. He winsthe heisman and he drops. He has everything vince young does if not better. Why? Vince Young is doing great and Troy will probably be better. Whoever gets Troy Smith(hopefully my Ravens) will get the best pick and he will turn out to be great what is wrong. What is the point of the Pro Bowl? Like in baseball they have the All-Star game and whoever wins it they have the first so many games played on their teritory. So what does it mean to win the pro bowl? What do the players get and so forth?

It's so anti-climatic to end the season with the Pro Bowl. The NFL is the only league that ends the season with their All-Star game. Surreal is you ask me.

VInce Young had a great season, he made Rookie of the Year and Pro Bowl. Starting from 0-5, he closed the season with an 8-8 record. Will the Titans make the superbowl or the playoffs next year?

Perfect example is all the Colt and Patriot fans claiming that their QB is the "best ever." It's like the Jordan junk in the NBA world, do current fans have no respect for Johnny Unitas (best QB ever) or Bill Russell (best Basketball player ever). It's not my opinion, it the opinion of players, for example Manning and Brady both have in the media expressed their respect for Johnny U, even to the point of Peyton begging the NFL to let him wear Johnny U's trademarked black shoes in the week following his death (they didn't let him) and Jordan answering a "Who's the best ever?" question with the answer, "The only man with 10 rings as a player, and 1 as a coach."

So what gives? Is it ignorance?

Now I am not a Patriot fan, I'm probably the farthest thing from a Patriot fan. However, I would agree you could make a good argument for placing they Dynasty tag on them.

The question is what is the main reason for all of their Super Bowl wins. I think Brady gets to much of the credit for the rings. I would rank them in this order:

1) Bill Belichick - This guy is one of the greatest coachs of all time. And I think his great gameplans are the biggest reason they were able to beat the Colts and make it to the Super Bowl in the past.

2) Adam Vinatieri - If it wasn't for his foot I don't think they woud have made it to the big game nearly as ofton let alone win it.

3) Their dominat defense - (the #2 reason beind Belichick they wer able to beat the Colts)

4) Then I think you can throw Tom Brady into the conversation.

peyton manning only has 1 ring while tom brady has 3. only indy fans think peyton manning is better. tom brady is the best quarterback in the present era and will be the best of all time after he wins 2 or 3 more super bowls. brady is a leader and he can read defenses like no other qb can. peyton manning paid the refs in the afc championship.

I understand that the elks lodge in Riverside, CA. got busted for having a Super Bowl (Feburary 4th, 2007) wagering board. I would like to know if it was written up in any news papers. What has happened since and is it still an on going think.
