Say you have a pretty good offense with a couple playmakers...Let's take the Lions as an example. Today they're ofense put up 24 points ( I think thats a descent score for an NFL game) but of course they still lost.They're defense dug themselves in a hole allowin 14 points on the first 2 drives of the Jets. One was 81 yard and the other 80. Yet they still had a chanche being down a TD and they faked the onside kick and kicked it deep.I guess that's fine since they had a timeout and the 2 min. warning.So I'll they got to do is stack up for the run ( a smart NFL coach won't pass) So mangin did run and they got a first down...and the game was over.

Houston beats Jacksonville in a blowout, a pawn shop owner kicks a game winning 62 yd field goal, the 2nd longest in league history, the Miami Dolphins, a team that was predicited by many to win the Super Bowl, is the worst team in the league...... What's with this wacky NFL season? If it wasn't for Terrell Owns complaining and the Oakland Raiders losing, I'd sware I was teleported into a parrell universe.

What was up with the Chargers offense/defense during the game? It was almost non-existent during the second half. Was it due to the fact that they were playing in a hard-to-play stadium or was it because the Chiefs outmatched them or what? I'd like some unbiased commentary on this.

My family was just challenged to a Thanksgiving football game against the neighbors and I'm in need of a creative, but appropriate, team name. The family name is Howe. The family leader ("grandma") is Mary. I was hoping for something fun involving one of those. We also have family jokes involving wooden spoons, inflatable men and dancing on tables. Its a fun group.

Any suggestions???? I'm drawing a blank.
