With what just happened to the Eagles, are they playoff contenders?

I agree with uncle_billy. Everyone in the NFC is a playoff contender. Wait about another month or so, then I think there'll be a clearer picture as to which of the teams is gonna go to the playoffs. Either Dallas or the Giants are going to be 4-2 tomorrow, so with today's loss the Eagles definately lost a notch.

But remember: It ain't over til its over. Right now it's anyone's play off spot. (And there's always a wild card)

Everyone is a playoff contender. However, in every loss they are beating themselves. I am a die hard Eagles fan and it kills me to see so many turnovers and dumb mistakes in every game. If they can start playing smarter football and stop turning the ball over, I'd say they will have one hell of a season. They just need to wake up and play 60 minutes of football every Sunday. McNabb can only carry the team for so long. As for this game, that field goal was ridiculous! Oh well... Bring on the Jags. Go Eagles!!!

The eagles are still in the hunt, and are still a good team. Teams will have bad games, and crappy teams will sometimes beat good teams. That's the way it's always been in the nfl. Kansas City beat San Diego, Houston beat Jacksonville, hell, even the Raiders, who are the worst team I've seen in 20 years, got a win today. In the end, the Eagles, Chargers, and Jaguars will probably make the playoffs while the Bucs, Chiefs, and Texans will continue to languish in mediocrity for another season.
