pac-10, big 12, big 10.....gimmie a break. put michigan, USC, or oklahoma in the sec and i bet they don't go better than 7-4. dawgs, tenn, florida, auburn, Lsu, bama, even vandy and kentucky are good for a couple big upsets each year. anyone who feels i'm wrong is simply a nimrod. there is no comparison....the SEC is the best by a MILE!

OK, I admit, the offense is still subpar, and they haven't really played anybody yet, but look at the stellar play of the defense. going into the ole miss game, the dawgs had the 5th ranked overall defense in the nation, and then held ole miss to 9 points. i guess the real tests are yet to come, with the vols, gators, auburn and tech still on the schedule, but remember the old saying, offense wins games, but DEFENSE wins championships. Auburn fans...see you in the dome for the SEC title game!! GO DAWGS!!!!!

OK, OK so the passing game is still a little suspect, but my God, my birds are averaging 280 yds rushing per game, you could probably go 12-4 on that alone! Give me your input, till then, we'll see the bears in the nfc title game!

I don't want to hear it from Colt or Bear fans. Both of those teams suck ***. ;)

With only the 4th game played in the NFL we only have 3 unbeaten teams and 4 teams with no wins. The level of talent in the NFL is extremly high...I don't remember a time when so many teams are this good. In my division AFC north you have Ravens, Cincinnati, Steelers and around the AFC you have Indy, New England, Denver, Jacksonville, Chargers...and the Jets nearly knocked off the 4-0 Colts. Any of these teams are capable of going all the way. Not to mention the NFC with the Bears, SeaHawks etc.

Does anyone remember when there was this much talent at the same time?

This has been one of the best weekend of games this past weekend I can remember. The Jets/Colts game was great...so many great games. The only sad thing was the face-spiking in the Dallas game...and of course my Bengals suffered their first loss!

But the Ohio State Buckeyes rolled over Iowa to once again prove they are 1#

Ex: Steelers and Jaguars. Over a minute left in the 4th qtr. Jaguars had possession and the lead AND they were close to the endzone (20yrds I believe?). They freakin kneed the ball 3x or more. So how many times can a team consecutively knee the ball?

Since the Bills/Fins game, a couple of my football buddies are saying Culpepper is a wasted investment by the Fins. I've always liked Culpepper though he tends to be hot and cold. I think the problem is the offensive line considering the 7 sacks (5 in the first half alone) made effortlessly by Buffalo. Miami handled well against the Steelers, Culpepper had virtually no pressure for most of the passes. Fluke? So what do you think? At any rate, I don't have much hope for them this season =(

a game of "kicking skulls" of "infidels" who "failed to submit to Siva"? The game of Cricket is invented from a symbolism of "throwing souls to the person who won the toss (war) who "stamps" the soul with his marks (like teacher) and routes it to God who does the final reconciliation (audit)?

I am actually reading a book by Lou Holtz, former(?) Notre Dame University football coach. It is quite a good and inspiring book It is just that I have very little idea how the game is played unlike baseball or basketball. I hope somebody will fill me in on this, or at least direct me where I can get the infos I need whether it be an article, a website, etc. Thanks.

Seattle is supposed to be the defending NFC champs. Tonight they looked worse than the Lions.

this game against Iowa proved it
I don't think there are any more valid arguments
The NC is their's to loose

their defense is great they need to defend the run better but at the same time they have only alowed one rushing TD the whole year

their offense is Great I think they coud be the best in the country but tressel is alittle conservitive(I'm not complaining)

USC, and Auburn struggled
Michigan and west Virginia haven't really played anybody (I don't count a Notre Dame team that almost lost to Mich St.)

can anybody make a vaild argument for anybody other than ohio state

excuse me THE Ohio State University

if you don't know who he is he is a very tallented but small back

he leads the country in yards and plays for northern illinois(I think the back up RB for the Chargers (Turner) went to the same school)

but he is small even for a back

I'm a die hard Bear fan so of course I've been enjoying the season. The first two weeks they won two games they were expected to win. Last week was a come from behind win against a surprisingly good Vikings team. Today they killed a team that played in the last Superbowl. I'm thinking they are for real, they are one of the top teams. What do you think?
